On Tuesday, April 10th, the girls varsity and JV soccer teams had games against Prairie City Monroe. The girls varsity team played well, winning  5-0. The Cubs’ top scorer was Maddie Stevens with three goals for her first hat trick of the season. Hannah Thomson and Amanda Fortmann also had goals.

Coach Randy Davis said, “It was nice to get out and play on a nice day. We have not had many of them, and the girls took advantage of the weather. It was great to see the team get in an attacking mind set and put the ball in the back of the net.”

The JV girls played following the varsity game and won 4-0.

The leading scorer was Gabby Sampson with two goals. Paige Solie and Hailee Weber also had goals. The JV players did well as PCM played with several varsity players. Coach Davis said, “The girls did a nice job moving the ball around the field and getting numbers up in the attack.
