The varsity ESports team won against West Delaware, 2-1, in a best of three series on Thursday, September 24th.

They have a team of eight to ten high school students plus some younger kids that help out along the way.

“Our first game of the match was close, but we won,” said Coach Jason Sampson. Then the second game West Delaware pretty much had our number the whole way. The third game we were rolling along pretty well then they started to come back. But Mark Bennet, who is our anchor, finished it up in due fashion with two lives remaining,” said Sampson.

“Other honorable mentions would be Addison Lemke and Ethan Primrose,” said Sampson.

Both teams played very well however in this contest.

The Cub ESports team’s next matchup is against Waterloo East on Thursday, October 8.
