The Nevada boys soccer team played Iowa Falls Alden on Thursday, May 10. The Cubs played a tough game, but fell short with a score of 1-2.

Kody Kruschwitz had a great game from his midfield position and scored the only goal for Nevada, and Jose Buenrrostro assisted. Gage Maiefski, the goalie, helped the Cubs by having six saves. Carter Bremer played his best game of the season.  He was patient and productive when he won the ball in the back and played great defense.

Coach Todd Sampson said, “We controlled the TOP significantly and had many opportunities to get into scoring positions.  Unfortunately we couldn’t put enough of them in the back of the net. IFA was a good team and capitalized on their opportunities.”

The Nevada boys soccer team plays at home against Newton on Friday, May 18.
