On May 4, the Nevada boys golf team competed against Bondurant-Farrar, Boone, Norwalk, Carlisle, PCM, East Marshall, West Marshall, and Grinnell at the West Marshall Invitational.

“This is always a very large meet that continues to draw better and better teams every year, Norwalk and Grinnell are highly ranked schools with quality players,” said Coach Ryan Brown. This meet showed Nevada what to expect in the postseason.

“I was very proud of our performance.  We are learning to manage holes and situations better.  It’s not about how far you can hit the ball,” said Coach Brown. “The team is beginning to understand and appreciate that if you place the ball well in the fairway you always have a chance at par and maybe even a birdie.”

To top all the learning experiences, they ended up tying the school record for team score.
