On Friday, September 14, the Nevada Cubs swept the South Tama Trojans at South Tama. The Cubs destroyed the Trojans with an outstanding score of 45-27. There were many highlights this game but also some things that the Cubs could work on.

The first touchdown was a run by Jakob Strottman. The next three touchdowns were passes, two to Sam Abraham and one to Blake Bottorf. Sam Abraham had another beautiful touchdown pass. Kody Kruschwitz had a quarterback sneak for the final touchdown of the night.

A highlight of the game was that Sam Abraham almost broke the receiving yards in a game record. Another highlight was that the Cubs were winning by so much that several of the JV players got to go in on varsity.

“We came out early and were able put points on the board. Everyone did their job and in the end we came out with a great team win,” said Senior Sam Abraham.

Come support the Cubs on their next victory! The Cubs’ next game is Friday, September 28, at Benton Community.
