On Thursday, September 20th the energetic 9th grade Nevada Cubs Volleyball team went up against the South Hamilton Hawks.

Coach Abigail Hansen had this to say about the match: “We came out very strong and were able to win in just two sets. The first game we won 25-15, and the second game we won 25-8. We had great communication and a lot of energy that helped our girls to win these games. Every single girl was essential to our win last night.”

As coach said, every girl was needed to pull off such a win, but she did point out a few leaders. “Mayzi Weig and Shieann Flores had some very important serving runs that helped us to get in the lead. Addi Vorm did very well with her passing that helped us to set up great plays.”

The Cubs host a freshman tournament this weekend, Saturday, September 29.
