10.5 Varsity Football vs West Marshall

On Friday, October 5, the varsity football team took on the West Marshall Trojans on senior night for the Cubs. The Cubs lost 35-3.

Senior Anthony Ellis, finished his last game at Cub stadium leading the team with an impressive nine solo tackles on the night. Junior Lucas Rodgers, had five solo tackles against the Trojans.

The Cubs tried to capitalize on two fumbles by the Trojans but couldn’t seem to string together any long drives.

The Trojans quarterback, Cameron Bannister, had 307 rushing yards on the night which proved to be too much for the Cubs.

The Cubs will take on La Porte City Union on Friday, October 12.
