2.01 JV Girls Basketball @ Gilbert

On Friday, February 1, the JV girls basketball team played the Tigers in a close, hard-fought game. The Cubs came out victorious after playing their last game, with a score of 24-19.

The Cubs were down 12-17 at half, but stepped up to finish the game. Nevada held Gilbert to two points the whole second half.

Mayzi Weig was the Cubs’ leading scorer with five. Tessa Borwick, Megan Wessels, and Maddie Dunham all had four points.

Coach Uthe commented on his team, “Great team effort to come back and win their final game of the year. I’m very pleased with the team and was glad I got to be one of their coaches.”

This was the final game of the season for the JV girls.
