The Nevada varsity boys basketball team played the Tigers in Gilbert on February 1st. The Cubs ended up losing with a score of 56-75.

Although the Cubs didn’t get the win, the boys still played well and there was a lot to be proud of.

“We played really well down the stretch. We even had an early lead, but we just didn’t make the shots we needed to in the second quarter,” said Coach Tyler Struck. “We were able to start coming back, Gilbert just kept making the shots to keep the lead.”

Tyler Sansgard ended the night with 22 points with six threes and Kody Kruschwitz had 15 points with three threes.

The varsity boys will play again on February 11th at Boone.
