On Tuesday, April 9th the girls varsity soccer team brought the heat to PCM in a 10-0, mercy rule win.

The Cubs had six girls who scored: Meredith Harter (1), Mikayla Long (1), J.J. Williamson (1), Addi Vorm (2) Kayla Dunson (2) and freshman Mazi Weig with a hat-trick (3).

“Probably the most important thing we were able to gain from the game, even though it was shortened by the ten goal rule, was that we were able to move girls around and work on secondary positions,” said Head Coach Randy Davis. “The girls still were able to make some adjustments for the second half and increase the tempo of play and get even better.”

The Cubs’ defense obviously put on a show as well, while only allowing one shot on goal.

The varsity girls will play again at Collins-Maxwell on Friday, April 19.
