4.18 Varsity Girls Track @ Roland-Story

On Thursday, April 18, the girls track team traveled to Story City to take on Norwalk, Lake Mills, Gilbert, Roland Story, North Polk, PCM, South Hardin, Ballard, and Belmond-Klemme.

Kacie Rewerts came in first for the 1500 meter run with a time of 5:02.50

Avery Mather came in third for the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 1:14.74.

Nevada’s 4×1 team took first place. Samara Sharp, Caitlyn Sharp, Emily Plate, and Hannah Thomsen ran it in 52.81, which qualified them for the Drake Relays.

Eleanor Elliott-Rude placed second in the long jump with a distance of 14’10.5”.

Addisyn Vorm got second in the discus with a 102’ throw. Bailey Crain placed third in the discus, throwing 93’10”.

Coach Shawn Crain said, “A lot of the girls had a great night with great times and distances.”

The girls run next at North Polk on Monday, April 29.
