The boys varsity golf team took their talents down to the Rathbun Golf Course in Moravia on April 25. The boys placed third out of 20 teams. Pella had 318 points for first place, Des Moines Christian had 321 points for second, and Nevada had 323 points for third place.

The Cubs battled through the wind and rain in a meet that lasted almost all day.

“I think we are getting too comfortable in our skin and maybe a little too confident in our play,” stated Head Coach Ryan Brown. “We need to be more disciplined in our pre-shot routine, more diligent with our focus and reclaim our identity – doing a better job of putting the ball in the right spot and managing the holes and the situations.”

Tyler Sansgaard was meets co-medalist, shooting a 75.

The boys varsity golf team play again May 2 at Briggs Woods.
