The varsity girls soccer team beat Iowa City Regina, 3-0, on Saturday, May 4th, at home.

“We started the first half strong to get on the board first and kept that momentum for the rest of the game,” said Freshman Savannah Skaggs.

All three goals were scored by Meredith Harter. Tessa Borwick had one assist to goal and Amanda Fortmann had the other two.

Along with that, the Cubs’ total offense is deserving of recognition for getting Harter the open shots to secure the game. The Cub defense also stepped up big by delivering a shutout to help bring home the win.

The Cubs next game is against Gilbert on Friday, May 10th at home.
