On Monday, May 20th, the girls JV soccer team played a home game against the Gilbert Tigers. They knew going into this game that it was going to be a tough match up. Gilbert is a good soccer team and they would have to give it their all.
It was a nice night for soccer, perfect field and no rain. The Cubs dominated most of the game with Hailee Weber contributing the goal for Nevada. They kept the ball on the offensive half for most of the game. Gilbert had a chance in the last eight seconds and got a great shot off and scored. The final scored was one to one.
“We were in the final third a lot of the game” said Alex Arnaud. “We had many opportunities but couldn’t finish as much as we would have liked too. Everyone connected their passes and had a lot of shots on goal.”
The JV girls ended their season 13-2.
