On January 5th, the 9th grade Nevada Girls Basketball team battled on the hardwood against the Saydel Eagles. The Cubs dominated the Eagles, 54-16.
Aubrey Gibson led the team in scoring with 13 points, along with Katie Sullivan with 10 and Gabby Sampson with 8.
One of the team’s goal this game was to have everyone score, and they finally got their goal in the 4th quarter.
Coach Scott Uthe says that his team played great defense and shared the ball very well. He says he would like his team to improve on out of bounds plays and free throw shooting before his next game.
