On Thursday, January 25, the Nevada 8th grade boys basketball team played a close, well fought game against Gilbert. They won 24-20.
They were slowed down by a 2-3 zone but countered with a well-executed full court press, which lead to quick fast break points.
Caleb Kooiker and James Edwards were key players. They played great lock down defense to slow down Gilbert. James Edwards also was the lead scorer with 12 points.
Their next game is Monday 2.5 against Roland-Story.
