On February 12, the 9th grade boys faced Boone at home. The Cubs walked away with a win, 56-45.
The leading scorers were Blake Bottorf with 24 and Ayden Rhodes. Myleek Wilkerson and Cooper Bovee also played well, scoring four points each.
The Cubs had a 26-24 lead at half time, and held the Toreadors to only scoring nine points for the third quarter. A big factor in the way they played was how well they rebounded on defense. The Cubs had 36 defensive rebounds, while the Toreadors had 15 defensive rebounds.
The team finished their season with a record of 13-6.
