The Nevada girls varsity soccer team lost their game against Southeast Polk, 3-0 on April 21 at the Nevada Tournament.

Southeast Polk possessed the ball well and pushed Nevada into their half for most of the first half. As the game progressed, formations were changed and adjustments were made that seemed to help Nevada defensively.

“I knew going in that they would challenge us, and it would be a good measuring stick for us,” said Coach Randy Davis. “We were concerned with their overall speed. Their leading scorer on the team has recorded the fastest times in the state in track.”

“The game showed us we need to work more on winning the ball higher up the field and not get so pushed back in our end. We also need to connect our passes more so we can work the ball up the field.”
